The Void Of Growth

Let’s face what we all keep avoiding.

You can either listen for humanity, or read the digest for clarity.

Enjoy :)

Thesis: The void is not emptiness to escape. It is a threshold. And what feels like losing everything is actually you becoming big enough to hold more.

The Problem

We inherited an impatience from society that makes us avoid the very phase we most need: the in-between. The gap. The void.

We believe effort and action are the only ways forward, so waiting feels like failure. But the void is where the old is purged so the new can arrive. We jump off the train at the first station because sitting still feels wrong. And this is why we never arrive.

Core Ideas

The void is necessary.

It is the phase of ripping off what no longer serves you: old identities, attachments, fears. All progress requires it. In every domain.

We resist it through two things: attachment and vulnerability.

Attachment to what got you here. Vulnerability at being naked in front of the future with no armor. These two keep you circling the same loop.

We fill the void socially, too.

Small talk exists to plug silence. We speak for the sake of speaking. But silence is where you meet yourself. When you stop filling it for others, you stay in your center.

The void is a death — and death is not separation.

It is the death of the old so the new can come to life. But you do not lose what you let go of. You become bigger. The thing you held tightly is still inside you. It is just smaller within you now. Build more rooms. Let the past live in the garage. Live in the living room.

Key Takeaway

Letting go is not loss. It is your circle expanding. Nothing disappears — you just make space for what comes next.

Thanks for reading.
